To the right of the countryman, a hut is made of tree branches and wood. A fox is peaking its head out of the hut, looking in the same direction as the countryman. They are both looking at three tree trunks. The trees have been cut down. In the foreground, lower right corner, a tree stump lies on the ground with an axe stuck in it.
