Description: Sempronio and Pármeno go to Celestina's house to enjoy a meal with their lovers Elicia and Areusa, two of Celestina's prostitutes. They arrive late, which has caused their lovers some frustration. When Sempronio praises Melibea's beauty and virtue, Elicia is thrown into a fit of anger. Celestina manages to calm her down, and she encourages the lovers to embrace one another (as seen in this illustration). Meanwhile, Celestina indulges herself with plentiful wine.
