Description: This illustration is interesting, since it is not specified in the narrative that Pleberio (leftmost figure) takes Alisa (central figure, leaning over Melibea) outside to see Melibea’s body, although he does tell her to look at it. It is just as likely that he is asking her to look through the window in their bedchamber. The rightmost figure almost certainly represents Lucrecia, who witnessed the preceding series of events.
