She is depicted with her elbows bound by rope which is attached to a ceiling. There is a man pulling on her hair and pushing her head into a burning fire as a torturing method. He is also holding a club above Leana’s head. Boccaccio explains that she is being tortured for being involved in a conspiracy to overthrow a tyrant.
