Description: This illumination depicts the noble Roman woman named Verginia getting cast out of the Patricia Pudicitia temple. Verginia was born into a noble family, and married a former consul named Lucius Volupinus. Because her husband became a member of the plebeian class when he was no longer a consul, Verginia was cast out of the temple by noble women. Verginia is famous for having created her own temple for the plebeian women called the Plebeia Pudicitia. Verginia is depicted in saddened manner as she is escorted out of the temple.
