Description: Here we see the Houyhnhnm’s house. Gulliver describes it as a long building made of timber with a low, straw roof. The house has a smooth clay floor and a rack and manger that extends the entire length of the house. The letter A is on the house because this image appears at the beginning of chapter two, and A is the first letter of the chapter. The same image appears in the 1843 Krabbe edition.
