Description: Here we see one of the Houyhnhnms preparing dinner. The Houyhnhnm stands on its back legs, holding a bowl of warm oats, boiled in milk, between its front legs. Gulliver kneels on a pile of hay, which is another element of their meal. The same image appears in the 1839 Krabbe edition.
