Description: The ghost of Achilles is depicted on the right side of the image in his full suit of armour holding his arm out to stop the ships in front of him. Achilles had died in the Trojan War, and when the Greeks returned home, Achilles’ ghost appeared to them and demanded a sacrifice in his honour for his bravery throughout the war. The Greeks end up sacrificing Polyxena, the daughter of King Priam of Troy.
