The Squire of the Woods (right) grasps Sancho gently, his left hand brushing Sancho's shoulder and his right hand warmly touches Sancho's back. He is wearing a brimmed hat with the front bill folded upon itself, beneath which he has tied a large nose that droops to his chin for the purpose of frightening Sancho.
