Chiron had agreed to look after Aesculapius after his mother had gotten shot by the boy’s father, the god Apollo. Chiron is depicted standing in front of his daughter Ocyrhoë. Ocyrhoë makes a prophecy and she is explaining to her father that Aesculapius will grow up to have great healing powers.
