This incites a fight between the officers of the Holy Brotherhood and the innkeeper on one side, and Don Quixote, Don Fernando, Cardenio, and Don Luis’ servants on the other. In the midst of the chaos and confusion, Don Quixote thinks that he has been plunged headlong into the discord at Agramante’s camp, a proverbial dispute described by Ariosto in Orlando furioso.
