of the request.
The requested change must meet all street naming standards as defined in the Town of Marana
Addressing Manual, Resolution No. 2007-136. Please contact the addressing department at (520) 382-
2600 or addressing@maranaAZ.gov to verify the availability of the proposed street name, prior to
seeking approval from affected owners and submitting the request to the Town.

the street name change and for address changes associated with the street name change.

o For all affected parcels, show and label the parcel number and owner’s name
Recording Information – If the street is not located in a subdivision, provide a copy of the
recorded legal ingress/egress of the street (streets or easements are usually described in the
property deed)

street name for private party applications – Provide one of the following
o Completed petition with owner approval signatures
o Signed letters from owners indicating approval (must include parcel number and address)
Approval Process
Requests will be reviewed by an addressing representative for compliance with street naming
standards as defined in the Town Addressing Manual.
The requested street name change will be added to the next Town Council meeting agenda. All
affected properties will be notified in accordance with the Town Addressing Manual, Section X.080.
An owner or occupant may object to the change, in writing, within 15 days of the notice.
New address certificates will be mailed to all affected properties if the change is approved. The
requestor(s) will be responsible for any cost associated with updating street signage.
Any owner of property whose address has been changed by a decision of the Town Council or the
addressing official may appeal to the superior court within 35 days of the effective date of the
decision.
